By now I know everyone has probably heard of Dr. Dre’s Beats by Dre headphones from Monster (the expensive audio cable company). I saw Will I Am rocking a pair on Larry King so I thought I’d write a lil something.
Here’s my issue like everything else when someone or a company uses a big name, perception is skewered. You have cats that will think they’re the best thing in the world just because Dre’s name is on them. Do they really sound like a pair of Augspurgers? Also another thing is that Dre worked on them to sound like Dre hears in his studio. That being the case will we hear how Jermaine Dupri, Rodney Jerkins, Just Blaze, or any other producer hears?
Just a point to ponder before you run out to shell out your rain money. I will do a comparison later…

Pro Tools 8 is coming folks! This is a major update to the most advanced audio and production software around. They finally change the interface and gussied it up. Looks pretty slick fam. They’ve also amped up the number of plug-ins. There are just so much to talked about I’ll break down each feature once it’s realeased and i play around with it.
What I’m looking at is that new Boom drum machine. Looks like Digidesign has jump on the 808 style programming like Fruityloops and the Reddrum in reason.
They also included other instruments like a Mini Grand, XPand!2 and Vacuum I love the sound of A.I.R. velvet so I know the Grand Piano and DB-33 tonewheel organ will sound nice. It’s especially great since I do have the Axiom keyboard to control the sliders as well.
